A Letter of Praise and Thanksgiving
We received word from our brother in Algeria this morning regarding the cases of persecution that have been awaiting a verdict:
Hello, Brother John.
I am writing to inform you that we received the verdict today from the lawyer. The court decided to dismiss the case and imposed a fine of 100,000 DA each “DA” stands for the Algerian Dinar, the currency of Algeria., which is a victory for us, which is quite high. $750USD
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Lord, our God, for answering our prayers and being favorable to the prayers of all his saints. My wife, Yara, and I would like to thank you for all your prayers and for your dedication to our case. We are very grateful to you from the bottom of our hearts, and we also thank all our brothers and sisters.
We would also like to thank you for all your encouragement. You have been and continue to be a great blessing. I am encouraged by the messages I receive from you every day. The Lord is good to those who trust in Him, as you have done during this period. I hope this feeling becomes a habit throughout our lives, because blessings come from it.
We bless you all in the name of Jesus Christ. Let us continue to pray. I have faith that we will see the powerful hand of God in our lives. Thank you, Brother John, for all you have done for us. You were a good mediator.
May the Lord keep you in His love, peace, and word. May you all be blessed in the name of Jesus Christ.
It would be a great pleasure if this letter of thanksgiving were read to everyone, Mustafa* and Yara, who love you.
From John: Yesterday, Mustafa and all ten believers were sitting in their homes waiting for the verdict because they were not allowed inside the courts. I was texting him back and forth asking, “What happened? What happened?” and he was just waiting all day to hear from the lawyer.
Finally, after I pressured him, he called the lawyer, and the lawyer told him, “I’m sorry, I didn’t go to the court when the verdict came out. I was too busy with other things.” I was amazed and thought, what a terrible lawyer. They were very discouraged.
But I truly feel today that the Lord had distracted the lawyer from showing up because the Lord wanted to show us His glory, that He is in control when we return to Him and when we pray.
We continue to pray for Ghouno that he will be released free from prison, and we pray for his wive and 16 months child as well.
I can truly stand and witness that it is your prayers. We did prayer chains before with Pastor Jacob, and he was miraculously released from his kidnappers. Today, YOUR prayers have kept 10 of our brothers and sisters free from prison!
“If God is for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:31. Thank you so much to all those who prayed over these long months awaiting this glorious news, we are so grateful for your support for amazing partners like Mustafa and Yara!
